Canada is not the only democracy to see its politics upended by Trump’s neo-imperialist musings, hostile tariffs and military reversals.
Beyond Ukraine, Mexico and Panama, there is Greenland, which held elections this week ahead of schedule in response to the US president’s incendiary statements that sparked political crises both in Nuuk and Copenhagen.
In a surprising turn, the March 11 vote delivered a result likely to benefit Greenland and Denmark, while delivering a rebuke to Trump.
